What you do matters. Let’s improve our community together.
Ready to become a feeding site?
Through two feeding site programs, we support organizations of all shapes and sizes.
With years of experience serving Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky through our Child & Adult Care Food Program and Summer Food Service Program, we’re able to offer nutritious meals in a variety of sites and settings, getting food to you when and where you need it.
— Meals can be used for a variety of programming needs —
After School Activities
Meals & Snacks for Childcare Centers
Youth Group Meals
Vacation Bible School
Field Trips
And More!
The requirements to become a feeding site are simple.
Be a site in an area where 50% or more of the youth are eligible for free or reduced meals at their school.
During the school year, keep attendance records and meal counts (meal counts only, during the summer).
Be willing to participate in training.
If your site operates in Ohio during the school year, you’ll need a copy of your most recent fire inspection and your health department license (or exemption; we can help you get an exemption).
To find out if you’re eligible, view our current feeding sites to find a school in your area. Eligible schools can be elementary, junior/middle, senior high, public or private.
NOTE: During the summer, we can also qualify you by census information if your school does not qualify. Contact Us if you need to go this route.
Hang an “And Justice For All” poster in your feeding area.

Feeding Site Distribution Process
We take great care ensuring the food we distribute meets the highest quality standards and exceeds expectations. Here’s a high-level look at how it’s done:
1.
Submit Request
Potential feeding sites submit a request to UMC Food Ministry to be considered for participation.
2.
Approve Request
UMCFood works with the Kentucky and Ohio Departments of Education to verify that potential sites meet requirements
3.
Receive Supplies
UMCFood receives food, which is stored at central kitchens for preparation.
4.
Prepare & Deliver
Kitchens prepare the food (hot meals or boxes) and deliver to sites for predetermined meal service times.
5.
Serve & Feed
Food is served to children at the feeding sites.
6.
Collect Info
Sites submit attendance and meal counts to UMCFood.
7.
Submit Reimbursement
UMCFood prepares and submits claims to the state Department of Education for reimbursement.
