Driver Responsibilities
Drivers play a key role in safely preparing, transporting, and delivering meals while representing UMC Food Ministry in the community.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Preparing and delivering meals accurately and on schedule
Verifying orders using production sheets and checking highlighted items
Taking and recording food temperatures before departure and at delivery sites
Assisting with food preparation, packing, and staging
Safely operating kitchen equipment
Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen spaces, storage areas, and vans
Driving safely and responsibly in UMC vehicles
Completing required paperwork and time sheets
This role requires attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to food safety and hospitality.

Summer Warehouse Production Team Member
The Summer Warehouse Production Team Member supports summer feeding operations by working on a production line assembling meal boxes and bundles for children in rural communities. This seasonal role is essential to meeting high daily production goals during a 12-week summer program, helping ensure children have access to nutritious food when school is not in session.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Assembling 7-day feeding boxes on a production line
Packing shelf-stable food, fresh fruit, and milk into dry boxes
Assisting with frozen meal bundles for children
Supporting fresh produce preparation for feeding sites as needed
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of warehouse and facility spaces
Working collaboratively to meet daily production goals of 3,000+ boxes
Schedule:
Seasonal position (12 weeks)
Shifts available: 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Summer Home Delivery Driver
The Summer Home Delivery Driver supports a summer feeding program by delivering 7-day meal boxes directly to children’s homes in designated rural communities. Drivers work in two-person teams and are responsible for safe vehicle operation, accurate deliveries, and respectful community interaction throughout a 12-week summer program.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Safely driving delivery vehicles on assigned routes
Working as part of a two-person delivery team
Delivering approximately 120 meal boxes per day
Using Route4Me routing software to navigate and document deliveries
Loading and unloading food boxes
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles
Communicating issues or delays to supervisors
Service Area Includes:
Brown, Adams, Pendleton, Gallatin, Boone, and Kenton Counties
Schedule & Pay:
Seasonal position (12 weeks, late May–early August)
Weekday daytime shifts
$25 per hour
This role requires reliability, professionalism, and comfort working outdoors in summer conditions.

Summer Home Delivery Rider
The Summer Home Delivery Rider supports a summer feeding program by assisting with daily home deliveries of 7-day meal boxes to children in rural communities. Riders work alongside a Driver to help load and unload boxes, navigate routes, and confirm deliveries during a 12-week summer program.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Working as part of a two-person delivery team
Assisting with loading, unloading, and organizing meal boxes
Helping confirm deliveries using Route4Me routing software
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles
Communicating issues or concerns to Drivers or supervisors
Service Area Includes:
Brown, Adams, Pendleton, Gallatin, Boone, and Kenton Counties
Schedule & Pay:
Seasonal position (12 weeks, late May–early August)
Weekday daytime shifts
$17 per hour
