A Relationship With UMCFood Will Increase Your Organization’s Impact
These are the stories of what can happen when you partner with UMCFood.
For more than 15 years, we’ve been connecting with organizations across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky to support work that transforms communities and changes lives. The meals we provide give organizations more capacity to make a difference and extend their services to people in need.
Meals Become Signs of Hope in a Food Desert
UMCFood works with Samy Broyles and his team at the Booker T. Washington Community Center to feed more children substantial meals and snacks while dramatically cutting food-related costs, saving the center more than $6,000 each year.
An Unexpected Partnership Helps Create a “Home Away from Home” for Kids
Thanks to UMCFood, Bill Bresser and his team at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati have a greater sense of stability and peace of mind, knowing they no longer have to worry about anything related to feeding the kids they serve. Bresser calls it one of the organization’s most important partnerships.
Shared Values Create Partnerships and Expand UMCFood’s Reach
Master Provisions’ food outreach program serves the Tri-State area by gathering surplus food from area wholesalers and distributing it to organizations that feed the hungry. With fresh fruits and vegetables from Master Provisions, this partnership allows UMCFood to serve more nutritious meals to children across the region.
Collaboration Becomes Key to Feeding Kids in Owen County
Duane Kline, an Owen County Schools principal, embraced UMCFood in his quest to meet a growing need: feeding teens all year long. UMCFood now feeds a quarter of the Owen County Schools’ student population each week. Along with other local feeding programs, UMCFood is filling a vital gap and improving the quality of life for children in the community.
More Time Makes a Difference for Mini Miracles
An invaluable asset to Mini Miracles Learning Center, UMCFood provides food every day of the week—breakfast, lunch and a snack. Its support has helped reduce the center’s costs significantly and created an opportunity for staff to focus more fully on the children they serve.
