Because of UMCFood, Bill Bresser and his team at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati have a greater sense of stability and peace of mind, knowing they no longer have to worry about anything related to feeding the kids they serve. Bresser calls it one of the organization’s most important partnerships.

Newport Church of the Nazarene

Having once experienced homeless herself, Jenny Fikes, children’s pastor at the Newport Church of the Nazarene, now serves children from low-income households, who rarely get nutritious food. By providing meals for the church’s after-school ministry program, UMCFood has become an essential lifeline for the ministry’s survival.

Master Provisions

Master Provisions’ food outreach program serves the Tri-State area by gathering surplus food from area wholesalers, and distributing it to organizations that feed the hungry. With fresh fruits and vegetables from Master Provisions, this partnership allows UMCFood to serve more nutritious meals to children across the region.

Owen County Schools

Duane Kline, an Owen County School principal, embraced UMCFood in his quest to meet a growing need to feed teens all year long. UMCFood now feeds a quarter of the Owen County Schools student population on any given week. UMCFood, along with other local feeding programs, are filling a void and improving the quality of life for children in the community.

An invaluable asset to Mini Miracles Learning Center, UMCFood provides food every day of the week – breakfast, lunch, and a snack. UMCFood’s support has helped reduce the center’s costs significantly and created an opportunity where staff can better focus on the children they serve.

Booker T. Washington Community Center

Starting out as a volunteer, Samy Broyles now serves as program director at the Booker T. Washington Community Center. UMCFood works with Broyles and his team to feed more children substantial meals and snacks, while dramatically cutting food-related costs, saving the center more than $6,000 each year.
